Bistro La Bon is a true gem!The air, ambiance, and seating is wonderful. Chic and elegant, rustic and contemporary. It just feels really nice—dressed up or down!The waitstaff is warm and their energy is comfy. Allie is a wonderful bartender who can craft crisp cocktails!The food is delicious! I’ve been on 2 occasions (both during brunch hours) and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. On Sunday, there is a brunch buffet. First time here. I was there for a large family gathering. It was wonderful. The food was great our waiter was absolutely wonderful. I love the idea of them serving your drinks at the table and also keeping scrambled eggs and the necessities of bacon and things that they knew people would want on the regular and not have to get up and go to the buffet. We had about 25 or 30 people so that's a lot of food. The French toast was good, the waffles were even better. Next time I'm in Charlotte I hope to stop in again.Parking: To seem to be a parking lot when facing the building would be on your right hand side that I believe was dedicated to this restaurant and maybe some of the closer restaurants...

On July 25, I joined 3 friends at Bistro La Bon during Queen's Feast-Charlotte Restaurant Week. There is a prix fixe menu that is so good that it is very difficult to choose what to order! I went with the Beet Salad for course #1: greens, beets, apples, goat cheese walnuts with a lemon vinaigrette. For course #2, I chose Filet Mignon Shrimp over risotto. The steak was cooked perfectly and the 2 shrimp was just enough. Also, the risotto was excellent. Course #3 was a lovely ending to the meal: Brioche Bread Pudding! Not what I was expecting. I've visisted for brunch many times and it is always delicious. This was my first time having dinner and it left much to be desired. Both my friend and I ordered steak, both of which were extremely overcooked. It was served over risotto which was quite undercooked and border line crunchy. We finished our glasses of wine and had to wait for quite a while to ask for water and another glass of wine and also another set of utensils since the first set was taken away after our appetizers. I will stick to brunch only from now on.
