Shop often at Southgate Sylvania but had not eaten at the Crest Hotel, was pleasantly surprised when the family and I had dinner their last night. The Hotel was typical hotel/pub design and unpleasant as we had to fight our way past the smokers at the door entrance, smoke partly drifting inside the restaurant zone, leaving foul smell to deal with. We found a nice seat that was not polluted by the incoming smoke. Meals are ordered at a counter, the dishes came from the kitchen in quick time and the size and quality was exceptional, all 3 meals were good size and portion, I ordered the Ribs and Wings, 500gms of ribs followed up by 500gms of chicken wings, salad plus coleslaw and chips. This place is part of The Crest Hotel in Sylvania, near the shopping centre,During weekdays it offers a $10 menu(provided you buy a drink at the bar, which doesn't have to be alcoholic).I had a make your own salad( with various add on choices) with beef.My better half had a steak sandwich.Both were excellent and great value.There were many other options on the menu, and they looked enticing.
We ordered the $10 lunch special at this restaurant and the steak sandwich was absolutely delicious and worth it. Some of us also tried the fish and chips, steak and salad, and they were also very tasty. I recommend visiting this place for a good meal.
The Dinner we had there was great, the wait was barely noticeable and the place was full. They would do with a revamp of the wine list and less harsh lighting but other than that we are for sure going back.

We frequent this restaurant often when we are in the area because the food is fantastic and the staff is friendly. I would recommend it to everyone. Keep up the good work!

Best place in Sydney to sit and watch the Footy huge screen, great seating, good food and friendly staff... Not sure what much else there is to ask for
