Thought I'd try some french cuisine while I was in Sydney and was not disappointed. The vibe was chic, the food fantastic and the service was impeccable. Decided to do the three course set for $60. The duck liver parfait was delicious, the fillet Mignon was cooked to perfection and the chocolate fondant was gooey, warming and exquisite. Would definitely recommend this place for a couples night. Not on the cheap side but the food is worth it.
We used to visit Bistro Meme all the time. In fact, it was one of our favourite restaurants.Not anymore.Something happened recently - either the original owners sold it OR management changed. Either way all the delightful old staff left.When we went the waiter didn't even know what the dishes were on the menu. He walked off to "ask someone" and never returned.Food has no flavour now and the ambience is gone.Such a pity.
I have been to this place many times but after our visit ,I only can say...they lost it.The whole French atmosphere is gone, waiters from Belgium, music from "hell", food made by asian staff, increased prices for lesser quantity and quality. Service was very average.The owner needs seriously to lift the game if not, this ,once great place, will disappear.
I love finding those special places that are kept hidden just for the locals.... Particularly when I'm nearby but not quite the local. Gorgeous French bistro that does simple French perfectly. The added bonus is always when my kids enjoy their meal. Even more so that they have a proper kids menu, not the nuggets and chips variety. Réservez une table maintenant
This place used to be great. Unfortunately this year, the food and coffee has slipped in quality in my opinion. The main issue for me is the terrible customer service. They are very slow which can be looked passed but unfortunately the staff are unbelievably rude and arrogant. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.
After a very long day of site seeing in Sydney, this selection was just fine.Food was acceptable but there seemed to be a disconnect between the service staff and the kitchen...translation: We waited a long time for our food.When it arrived it was just fine...but the starving will eat anything.
Authentic French cuisine. We enjoyed the Coq au vin and Cassoulet. The deserts were yummy too. You can pay $60 ahead for 3 courses. We however, showed restraint and stuck to 2 courses. One waiter on the floor did a fantastic job serving the whole restaurant.
A great French restaurant run by French. Attentive service and well presented food with good quality and portion. I took my family there and everyone loved it! Definitely will bring more family and friends there if have the chance. And great value. Réservez une table maintenant
