So good, I have to go again next week. The tasting platter - complete with a sizeable chunk of slow roasted lamb and another of pork - just outstanding. Followed by a thoughtful selection of four 'bites' of desserts, Black Fire has the whole 'let's do lunch' thing down. Solid service was also a big bonus - fast, polite and helpful. This would have been a five if not for the difficulty parking at lunchtime!
Food was amazing. Slow cooked lamb was amazing. Steak was excellent and expected. The service however was sub-optimal given the atmosphere and the price. The waiter literally was trying to yank the menu off our hands whilst reading it. Charged us sparkling water which we didn't order. Called my male friend "madam" and took them over 20 mins to take our order. A lot of things to improve on...
Enjoyed a great Saturday lunch at this place. Everyone appreciated how good the food was. Full of flavour. Classy combinations. True, the sides were largely an afterthought - but I must say I will be going back to this place again soon. That lamb and pasta dish was Devine. Thanks for making our stop in such a memorable time.
The food here was extremely well presented. Sydney rock oysters were huge and tasty. Baby octopus entree was large and delicious. As was the ravioli main. After being told the ravioli was a small dish we were surprised at how large a serve we got. Definitely order the Sangria. Will be back. Réservez une table maintenant
Solid steak and Mediterranean fare. The bell peppers with crab meat were not a good combination. The tenderloin steak was cooked well and the sides were okay but not outstanding. The highlight were the desserts with the cranberry tart with chocolate mousse being very popular and delicious
Delicious food! Chef's Tasting Menu was fantastic and provided a range of flavours and options. Atmosphere was great along with the exceptional service and staff. Favourite place to eat in Canberra- make sure you book early as tables are on high demand.
Delicious food. Pork belly and steak were fantastic! Haloumi salad was nice, but I had massive food envy for the prop belly. Book early, as it can be hard to get a table on a busy night
Great service.I will recommend the scollops,the lamb with mushrooms and potatoes,the desert set for 2 people and the peppers.$35 pp if you don't order set menus.Love it! Réservez une table maintenant
Very nice Augus Fillet. I ordered medium and the meat was juicy and tender. My entree was the smoked quail and it was tasty and appetising. Great service and ambiance.
