Black Friar Inn

We stayed at the Inn for a five day stay. The Stained Glass room was very cozy and perfect for a couple. Included in our stay was breakfast every morning and we had a full menu to choose from. Highly recommend the Benedicts and blueberry pancakes. We also had dinner here a few times. Their menu for dinner is very good too, with rotating options for specials that are very creative. Steve the chef is amazing and the other staff were extremely nice. The location is great because we could leave our car and walk to just about anything in Bar Harbor. Can’t wait to go back.

We came here for the food and drinks. Happy hour has some fantastic deals for beer, cocktails, wine, and oysters. We got one special, lamb beef stew, and the fish and chips. Fish and Chips were great! Service: 5 Location: 5

Our oysters and cocktails were lovely. The sweet tender small oysters were just to my liking. Happy hour is a great time to order them!! The bar is small so go early!

Mixed grill all the way. It's not too much food each type of meat is a few bites but they are all very very good. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 4
