We were at the pub for the Summer Soulstice evening. It was good fun with fantastic music, albeit the music changed later in the evening and it wasn't our cup of tea (a lot of others felt the same). It was a fun evening and all enjoying themselves. The pub and garden were packed. The toilet situation was terrible the queues and the disabled toilet was out of order not good. Staff friendly one in particular, who seemed to be everywhere and doing everything was a lovely lady called Alexia I believe. Such a great person and working very hard. It was busy at the bar. We got the same round in for most of the evening so we knew the price. Our last round of the evening had one less drink in it, but...
Good pub lunch after an exhausting week. Ella, our waitress was wonderful and really helpful. We had 3 Neck Oils on tap very good and one coke- waitress asking whether I would prefer a bottle or off the pump was appreciated because I really like a bottled drink with no ice. Our order was fish and chips chunky ones! , Cumberland sausage 3 with mash, gravy slightly saltier than I expected and peas which were done perfectly, the classic burger and buttermilk chicken burger with upgraded dirty fries. We were told at ordering that the dirty fries instead of the skinny ones with the burger would be an additional cost which we were happy to pay. Food arrived promptly enough. We hired the Gin and Bubbles garden for the evening of our wedding reception, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff were so helpful in the run up, decorating the garden for us and communicating very clearly with us. We had drinks and pizzas for the guests, which everyone loved. The garden looked so beautiful with the fairy lights and the staff were so helpful on the night. It was the perfect end to our wedding day and we can't thank everyone at the Black Horse enough. We would strongly recommend it as a venue to anyone looking to host any kind of party, and the late night pizzas were a wonderful addition. Thank you so much!
Exceptional service, Barnet Cab! From start to finish, my journey was nothing short of perfect. The driver was punctual, courteous, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the trip. Black Horse.... the best pub so far! We were visiting it last Sunday with our children... we weren't expecting they food to be so delicious! Very good and fast service! Lovely garden! Will be back again! Thank you!

Found out staff don’t get tips!! Don’t tip unless you pay you server with cash! So bad that businesses can still get away with this. Food nice but not impressed on the whole.
I love this pub, it's food and staff, and always enjoy visiting when I am in north London. I look forward to seeing you guys next year.
