Updated review 12/11/23 I was so excited to see this restaurant on Groupon, I wanted to give them another try because the food was absolutely delish the first time around. Arrived on a Wednesday around 630pm, they had quite the crowd, didn’t wait long maybe 5 mins to get seated. I read on their menu the turkey burger was bussin and my friend had the fish and chips last time, so I already knew ahead of time what we would be ordering. GrouponAlert First time trying The Black Horse Tavern . First thing we noticed was that it looks closed from outside. Once you open the door it was pretty lively inside. It was about 7pm on a Friday night (not bad wait time). We checked out the menu while we waited. There were several things that sounded good. My wife and I usually share because shes a light eater but I'm not so the the portion has to be decent for this to work. We decided on the potato soup and Blackened chicken fettuccine. We ordered the bowl size soup which was large and came with a huge peice of one of the moistest cornbread ever!!. I've come here a few times and every time was like an adventure. The menu items they had before weren't always so clear. This time around, they had updated menus and we spent more time figuring out which meal we wanted because there was a few we wanted to try. Well, if it wasn't for Melissa,our server, we would have been going back and forth undecided. Melissa was so upbeat and helpful. I went with her suggestion and it turned out great. Both, my friend and I, really enjoyed our meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu selections. I hear new menus are on their way. Let's see how those turn out.

What isn't to like? The cauliflower wings? Just like chicken. Only not. Cajon shrimp. Yum! Jalapeno poppers? Perfect. Not excruciatingly hot, but not too tame either. Hanger steak. Yum! You can survive on appetizers or go crazy! Réservez une table maintenant

BLACKENED CHICKEN ALFREDO fettuccini, broccoli, chicken, alfredo cream sauce, parmesan cheese garlic, parmesan toast Very well seasoned to taste, and proportioned to satisfaction! Looking forward to going again!
