Black Lion - Réservation de table

Recently stayed for one night so I will give you an honest review, the landlord was great couldn’t do enough for you but the accommodation is exactly what you expect for the price the bed and towels were clean everything else very tired but for...one night it didn’t matter. The main problem was the horrendous smell of dogs when you walk up the staircase and it does linger into the room, the various cheap air fresheners scattered around are not working the carpets need ripping up and replaced, if my wife would have been with me she would have walked straight back out. The breakfast was well cooked and presented excellent but I still had that putrid smell up my nostrils which rather spoiled it...

Having walked the front at Scarborough on a hot and sunny afternoon we were desperate for a drink, so tried the first pub we came to on our walk up from the promenade that looked as though they sold real ale....The Black Lion. So our...group of four walked in and the two ladies sat down whilst my friend and I stood at the bar waiting, and waiting to be served. Have to say that the place looked rather tatty....but we were fairly desperate. There was no-one else at all in the bar we were in, so I couldn't say it was busy. However, although the land lady saw us, she completely ignored us and continued in moving glasses around and cleaning up. We were patient, but really needed a drink, and afte...

Pub great. Cheap drinks, friendly staff and regular customers great karaoke and music all day and night but accommodation disgusting!!! Smelly ,sticky hallway carpets, filthy broken toilets,old carpet on bathroom floor,showers doesn't work,residents entrance smelly, cluttered with bikes,Hoover's and other junk .Cheapest uncomfortable beds. ....There is an s missing in name..more like bad hostel!!!!..Extremely noisy at weekend. Don't expect to sleep before if at all. Didn't even attempt to try the food. . The rooms are cheap and you usually get what you pay for. But cleanliness is priceless and should come as standard!!!!. Never again!!! and last time I can assure you!!!!

We have stayed here before.myself and my sister .since we last stayed their has been some refurbishment of the bathrooms and landings. Their is always plenty going on here karaoke raffles singers groups .The staff are very nice. The breakfast is amazing. We also...had Sunday lunch which was very nice. Right in the centre of the town close to beach and amusements. Réservez une table maintenant

We always drop in for a drink whilst shopping in Scarborough. A lovely clean pub with great service, atmosphere and friendly staff. Pub is dog-friendly and has a nice, small beer garden out back. The pub has accommodation which we haven't tried but based on...the times we've been in, I imagine it would be a lovely place to stay.

Me and my family went in here for a drink on Saturday night was seated in the courtyard there was six of us, excellent service by the bar staff in these Covid times we really had a good night in there thanks

We call in here every-time we get to Scarborough, with the restrictions in place for Covid we think they are doing well, Beer great as usual and the crack off the staff and the locals is great.

Great bar to visit, central in the town, just off the main street, good beer , staff friendly, and the regulars make you feel welcome as soon as you enter Réservez une table maintenant

Really lovely staff. Rooms are sound. Breakfast was amazing cheers Barry and staff we hope we are welcome again. Our new Scarborough hot spot

Went in for a drink as they seemed the most covid aware pub around the area, good drink, good prices and seemed friendly
