Black Mountain Of Maine

Heard about this hidden gem only a week before they shut down for the season and took the 4 hr drive north on closing day. By the end of the day, my kids not only fell in love with skiing again but finally understand when I talk about the soul of an old-school mountain. I only regret we didn't discover this mountain sooner.

$15 tickets on Thursday, untouched powder on every run, SO many glades, uncrowded, friendly community, can't say enough. Better than Sunday River? I'll leave that up to you.
