My friend also ordered some cupcakes to surprise me without knowing I also ordered from them! People are just drown to this team! I ordered on Sunday without expecting they will reply me same day, but yes, they replied just few minutes after! So efficient! Black Velvet Sydney made our day! I was a bit hesitant before I ordered my partner's b-day cupcakes because sometimes when I ordered them from other shops, the cupcakes were slightly damaged. However, my experience with Black Velvet Sydney was compleletly different. After I received what I ordered from a delivery man, I could see that he treated them so carefully. There was no damage at all. I love all the items in the birthday package and the cupcakes were very fresh. The cupcakes made my love super happy today. I will definitely revisit the shop and highly recommend Black Velvet Sydney. The delivery man was super kind and gave me unexpected gift too. I felt so grateful. Thank you!
Ordering a big cake for a special occasion so came for a cake testing and tried some of the flavours in the smaller cupcakes! Just one thing.... they had to be vegan and specially ordered for the birthday girl so we tried the chocolate and the vanilla with matching respective icing. OMG, looks heavy and buttery, tastes so light and delicious you just don't want to stop! No weird aftertastes either! Favourite was the chocolate with the chocolate cream. Grabbed a few non vegan ones to take home for the crew! Looking forward to the California Girl cake with vegan decorations of cupcakes, candies and macarons! We received a delicious chocolate torte cake at our office on Thursday as a gesture of gratitude from a former colleague who wanted to thank us for providing a positive work reference. The cake was decadent and delightful, and the fact that it was gluten-free yet still so scrumptious made me appreciate how tasty cakes can be without certain ingredients. It was a treat for the taste buds, and I look forward to enjoying it again, perhaps for a special occasion in the future!

The customer service at this restaurant is fantastic, although sometimes there is a slight delay in answering phone calls, they always respond promptly. The staff, including Luke, Felicia, and Daniel, are a lovely and wonderful bunch of people. The highlight of our experience was the delicious dinner cake, which was my wife's choice for her birthday and she was extremely pleased with it.
The cupcakes here are just amazing!I absolutely adore the frosting that buttercream is just to die for and the cupcakes are just so cute.The service was really good too.Lots of different cupcakes to choose from so it can be hard but whatever you choose, it's guaranteed to taste just delicious.Definitely one to visit and is also a nice gift idea.
I am so happy with my order from Black Velvet. The communication through online chat was very easy and efficient. I asked for a cake i can decorate myself and it was perfect. The delivery was on time and I really couldn't expect any better service. Black Velvet cakes I highly recommend for any occasion.
Nifty little cupcake store in Darlinghurst. Their most popular cupcake i think would have to be the salted caramel. Nice Paris style chic interior with white and black theme. Cupcakes tend to be on the pricey end but some of the flavours are well worth it. Staff are friendly and fabulous.
