The table that we were sat at did not have very clean dishes so we had to get that replaced. Our server did not come to our table until we had been sitting for almost 20 minutes. She would also be gone for extended periods of time throughout the time we were there so it took a while to order and receive our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. we started our experience with sitting outdoors. our server brought water and took very long to come back. we had to have another server to inform him. we moved inside because there were several mice running around the terrace. the service was not better. our server continued to pause for a very long time to return us between drinks, appetizers and Entree orders. he wasn't even attentive. eating was just okay, underseasoned and too expensive. the brussel sprouts were just carved leaves drowned in chiles and pork. my entree was $40 for risotto, 2 garnel and 2 scallops. I've been discussing twice. the ambiente is beautiful (indoors), but I wouldn't return. it wasn't worth the $400 bill.
Got seated in the bar right away, super cute aesthetic! Service was phenomenal, the server told me their favorite things right away and I took their word for it. Flaming crab dip was awesome! Wish I?d had someone to share it with since it was very rich and had a strong smokey flavor- good! Just too much for one person. This was my first visit, but definitely won?t be my last. The food was fantastic and the service as impeccable. The restaurant was spacious it got a little crowded by the end of lunch, but still somehow felt fairly intimate. We went for brunch. Service overall was good. We ate at a hightop in the bar, because we hadn't made a reservation. Raw oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and crab and shrimp omelets made to order were the highlight. Other food was basic, not great, buffet. Grits (make sure you eat them when they first stock the tray and they're still hot), overly salty, but yet bland fried chicken, mediocre biscuits and gravy (same as the grits, if they get cold they're really bad). Loved everything I had the first time I went. Second time I was there late Saturday afternoon and it was packed. They didn't have enough staff, service was lacking, bar was dirty and messy and the other customers were rude and loud. The shrimp and grits were fantastic, the crispy oysters finally arrived cold and were missing oysters (which they forgot about initially then arrived after over 30 minutes after we reminded them), and the chicken salad was mediocre.
Extremely pricey. Great river views on the patios! Some of the tables outside have fire pits, and they have private rooms if you need. I was a bit put off that sodas were cans (and significantly marked up). We enjoyed the calamari quite a bit. The crab dip was good. I had been craving fried foods, so the fried green tomatoes hit the spot. If you come on a weekend, definitely make a reservation, as it's in a tourist hub and gets really crowded.
The food was decent, but not amazing. They have friendly staff and a beautiful location. Came here specifically to try the Cajun seafood and got creole rigatoni. It?s very well made (the sauce is particularly excellent), but the chicken in it taste slightly dry even after coating it in sauce since each piece is so big and the sauce will only cost the outside. It?s always pretty consistent but never a ?wow? experience. The food is consistently 3-4 out of 5 stars, the drinks and atmosphere bring it up to 4.2 are pretty good. If you?re looking for a nice spot by the water decent crowd of folks and decent service, they are pretty solid for a nice experience. The location makes the space. However, this dessert was a 5! Delicious!!
