I was too gassed several times and always very satisfied. the food keeps definitiw what is promised in the card - good and rich Bavarian cuisine. the portions are appropriate and not excessive, as is otherwise very often in this case. that even invites to a dessert. the service is attentive and the waiting time is appropriate. in summer you should think about an additional force to cover the garden without losing service quality. all in all highly recommended!
I'm always in a business environment and trying out a lot. in august 2016 the "blue grape" had no cook and "send me away" (is also a hotel) - so I tried this again in januar 2017. normal eating as you just expected. nothing special, German kitchen. some from the cooler. service not particularly motivated. my companion wanted to eat vegetarian/vegan. there was nothing really useful and the motivation in the service to this thema was not present. we ate in this restaurant too night, which is located in the associated hotel, where we stayed. as an appetizer, we chose a Bavarian suppe, a duck breast with kartoffel knuckles and red cabbage and a bark rib with roasted onions. both portions were generous and tasty. with a bottle of water and half a liter of beer we have paid €46
a short trip to Schongau brought us here. the rooms in the hotel are ok, very economical to not say almost ascetic furnished. no deco. a double bed, a small bathroom with shower, a desk. a TV. very functional. the breakfast buffet is sufficient, the rolls have not been very chess. friendly service.
