Blockley Village Shop Cafe

So so highly recommend this restaurant! We had breakfast and dinner here during our 3 day stay in Bloclkey, and would have been there for lunch one of the days if we could have swung it! The setting is deceptively simple, but the food is sophisticated without being fussy--just delicious. The flat rate £45 dinner has 5 courses (three of which you need to make a choice from a list of three options). The menu focuses on local seasonal foods and changes every four weeks. I don't know if this is standard, but the night we dined there, their three options for both starter and main were poultry, fish and vegetarian options (interestingly, and appreciated, that there wasn't a meat option). I am reluctant to leave a review because I don't want too many people knowing about this place. Whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner both the food and the service is always fantastic. One of the hidden gems of the Cotswolds.

This is a lovely Cafe in the village of Blockley. We had coffeeand fresh tea cakes which were lovely. The setting is great just by the church gates. Well worth a visit and the setting for the TV show Father Brown.
