I can not say anything negative. From the moment we walked in until we walked out was great. Our waitress, Virginia H was as good as you will ever get...thank you for a great experience. The owner served our food...talk about integrity. And that was just the people, now about the food, where to start. The butter they serve with the bread is so light and creamy it melts. My husband had the Carribean mussels which were cooked perfect in a white wine sauce as an appetizer and I got the charcuterie board, and not just your average it had duck pate', date chutney, assortment of cheese and meat. Ate here the other evening with my husband and we had a wonderful experience. Excellent choice if you’re looking for an upscale restaurant in the area. We ordered a Caesar Salad to split as an appetizer and the kitchen actually put the salad on two plates for us wonderful touch. My husband ordered the Ribeye and said it was the best steak he’s ever had. I ordered the salmon and wild rice, which was phenomenal. I ordered the Snickers Semi Freddo and my husband ordered the cheesecake. Both were wonderful. The menu is limited, but they cook everything they do offer to absolute perfection. We will be returning and have already recommended to a couple of our friends. Last, but certainly not least...
Wow! A lovely experience start to finish. We brought a large party for a special occasion and the quality of service was impeccable. Everything from appetizers to desserts was delicious and beautifully presented. We had someone in our party with an egg allergy and she was accommodated perfectly. I look forward to my next special occasion meal at Bloomsbury!
The service is great. The butternut squash bisque is great. The NY strip with Chimichurri was just okay, mainly because the meat wasn’t super tender. I closed out with the crème brûlée and it was a bit watery. Although the service was great, the imperfections with the steak and brûlée gets the restaurant 4 stars.
