I discovered Zarates online and was in the mood for a home-cooked meal. I ordered sliced turkey breast with stuffing and cranberry sauce. The side salad consisted of iceberg lettuce with cucumbers and chunky tomato wedges, but the lettuce had some brown spots. On the bright side, the balsamic vinaigrette was delicious. I also tried the stuffing made with dark rye and other rye bread, but I didn't enjoy it. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a mix, and the gravy had an unusual flavor. I’d like to give it another shot before I leave, though, as the service was excellent.
Overall, it was a good experience. The food was hot fresh. Prices are a little steep for breakfast foods, but portions are generous.Restaurant very clean, smells clean and decor is very cute. Staff was friendly and tended to all needs.The only complaint is that they charge 3.99% on debit/credit.Would I go back? Yes. But I will bring cash
What a delightful family restaurant! I visit every week after church, and it consistently serves the best breakfast along with outstanding service. If you're looking for a fantastic meal, an incredible Bloody Mary, and a wonderful atmosphere, don't miss out on Zarate's. Regular visits have truly kept a smile on my face since the storm!
Best breakfast in Englewood and the price is even better. Great service with a family atmosphere. We appreciate you in our little town of paradise. Thanks to everyone.Kid-friendliness: it's like being at home.

Service, prices and food was all very good.... could have had a little larger prime rib which I thought was standard until I got up to leave and saw the table over looked twice the size of mine
Walked in went to bathroom that was old, stinky and filthy and walked right out. Menu was stained, dirty and outdated as well. Always remember however the bathroom is the kitchen is as well !
Went for breakfast and had the loaded biscuits and gravy and coffee (which was free because I got one of the daily specials). Gravy was tasty and portion was good.
It was the best breakfast I've ever had! The pancakes were large and fluffy, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious.
