Recently gave Blue Hill at Stone Barns another chance and was completely underwhelmed. On the plus side, the venue and service is extraordinary but the price, cuisine and experience were all underwhelming. I’ve eaten at amazing restaurants all over the World and never have flinched at a price but this plate is simply absurd. First, they charge your card nearly $500 a person just to reserve a table. Then, you are subjected to a ridiculously long 5 or 6 hour meal with small underwhelming courses of home grown vegetables (with great explanations) and a few very small and average entree courses with a meal that goes on forever. I initially gave this restaurant a 5-star rating, but during my visit, there was a bit of a mishap. My group of Asian tourists was the only one from the morning tour, and when we arrived at the restaurant after finishing our tour, the server bypassed us and went to serve the group behind us. Fortunately, Julia noticed and quickly attended to us. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and they followed a farm-to-table concept where nothing went to waste, including all parts of the animal. Just been there yesterday to celebrate Mother’s Day earlier. We all have wonderful experience. When I read some negative reviews about paying about $400 each person for vegetables! Yes, but I never have such rare, fresh vegetables for all Michelin star restaurant I ever been. This restaurant try to educated customers about the produce more than only concern how to serve you. My mom travel around the world and still admire the style of it and the way they did. Thanks again, for the hard working team in Blue Hill At Barn Sone! We have a wonderful class while we enjoy the dinner.

Reservations can be a bit difficult, but it is worth it. The cafeteria lunch is affordable and the food is extremely fresh. My favorite item was the bread. You could taste the whole grain with each bite. My second favorite dish was the soup. It was light but hearty.I'm not too sure what each individual item is, but I definitely recommend eating here for lunch especially when there is warmer weather.
Oh, my, it's all true. we started with the tour I highly recommend. Apart from the explanation of what the complex is, it also gives them a bit of time to adapt. the meal is really a marathon. it's not just the best meal I've ever experienced, it wasn't really like any other meal I've ever had.
