Blue Lotus Cafe Kelvin Grove

This place frustrates me. It can have the best coffee and the worst.At times I think they haven't cleaned the machine as the coffee tastes like washed dirt. More often than not. I wonder if they always use do bells as advertised - sure does not taste like it. After being a loyal customer for 2 years I rarely have coffee here. Service has gone downhill in the past 6 months. It costs nothing to smile and say thank you. With all the coffee places popping up I'll be surprised if they're around in a year.

Breakfasts big enough to share and willingly done by staff. Free papers to read. Great tasting coffee. Sat morning markets make it a bit busier than usual but there are plenty of seats outside.. bit cold at the moment though. Staff very friendly. Loyalty card.

Havent been since before Xmas but staff had difficulty understanding English. Never had that problem before.New menu as well. Had the Welsh Rarebit which was delicious and great value. Will have to go back to try the new foods now.

My second favourite place for coffee in Kelvin Grove. And my first favourite place for coffee and food! Wonderful staff, great food for a good price, great coffee and interesting window seating to view the world outside. Réservez une table maintenant

Coffee is well priced but consistently fairly good - can be served too hot at times. Food is fair quality, what you'd expect from a small cafe. Service is always friendly, but can be slow.

After a few years at QUT, I finally went into Blue Lotus. See, I don't drink coffee, and it mostly looked like a coffee place.

Always good, have enjoyed every cup. Makes a good long black. Nice quiet spot that is tucked away from mall and street traffic. Réservez une table maintenant
