Bob's Steak Chop House

Bob's is a top choice for us in the DFW area, but our experience at the Barton Springs location was slightly disappointing due to the lack of friendly service from our waiter. However, the food was as delicious as ever. The perfectly cooked Filet, tasty bread, and potatoes were all excellent. Although the Carrot was smaller than we're accustomed to, the flavor and tenderness were still on point. We always order a side of mushrooms with our steaks and they were big and flavorful, living up to our expectations.

The steaks were cooked to perfection, the service was fantastic, and the chocolate cake was not a slice but about 1/5 of a cake! I didn 't give it 5 stars only because of the wine menu. It had all of the impressive vineyards you would expect, but there was a lack of representation of value bottles. The least expensive Cabernet bottle I saw was $125, and the bulk of them fell in the $175-$250 range I think. When you go to most steakhouses, there are at least a decent selection in the $75-$125 range.

This is one of our favorite spots to enjoy meals at and it’s usually very good with great overall ratings! However, last night the kitchen was so backed up that we waited an hour and a half for our main course to be served. We noticed a large party of women in the private dining area, and that must have caused the issues because all families appeared to be waiting for their food and inordinate amount of time. Thank you.

Bob’s is my favorite top tier steakhouse. It’s the only one of that level that your steak comes with a starch and of course their famous carrot. The ambiance at Barton Creek makes it that much better.

we were here to celebrate our honeymoon and had a great time! bailey was a wonderful server that helped make our experience incredible and eating was absolutely delicious!

Ordered ribeye which was tough. Not usual for Bob’s but they made it right.
