The service was attentive, and the food was delicious at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? The grilled halibut was fantastic, and the special monkfish with mango salsa was excellent. The veal and chicken parmesan dishes were generous in portion and well-prepared. For dessert, we enjoyed the bread pudding and the chocolate peanut butter gelato, both of which were outstanding. Unfortunately, the building has been sold, and the restaurant will be relocating soon, which is a loss for South Orange but a gain for Short Hills.
The food was not up to the quality of food by Silvio I experienced many times in South Orange or Millburn. Octopus special was mushy and hidden in an average red sauce. Monkfish wrapped in prosciutto was overcooked and served next to a huge mound ofgreen dyed mashed potatoes. Special salad and salmon were acceptable. Good food in this area is well rewarded. Adisappointing experience!!
Outstanding, in a literal sense. The food here truly stands out (starter, main course and dessert). Everything we had was absolutely amazing, both in taste and presentation. The stuffed pork chop special was the best piece of pork I?ve EVER had (noexaggeration). WOW?.. We?ll be back, often (new favorite).
I have been going to Boccone South any time I have tickets at SoPAC because they have several dishes that I really like. I am sorry that they are moving from this location, but they are evidently opening up another location in Summit. The food is good and the service is attentive. It is, though, BYOB.

Good as always. We’ve been going to Boccone’s for over 5 years. Our friends and family always request that we go Boccone’s for dinner. The service, quality and presentation of the dishes are always excellent. Our usual server Nicole, knows what we like, we almost order as Nicole know. BROVO
