Part antique warehouse, part museum of the rural life of past centuries, part weekend lunch club with wonderful entertainment. Maserof is completely unique. Carolina is full of high voltage energy and life, although the cluster of buildings that constitute Maserof does not have any electricity. This is history, brought to life with wine, food and Carolina 's cabaret. The food comes to the table on beautiful battalions of mismatched china, wonderfully presented, made from the freshest seasonal produce and delicious. Wine flows, from the bodega 's own vintages. Before lunch you will have a chance to see where the wine has been pressed (and at the right time in the early autumn you may even hav...

This remote Bodega/Museum/Winery has the most wonderful atmosphere, created in part by its rustic, electric-free charm and mostly by the very enthusiastic and warm welcome given by proprietress Carolina!! We were lucky enough to join in the colourful and interesting guided tour she gave before lunch. The dining room was warmed by two huge fires and the glow of many candles. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food, a six course set menu, all cooked on wood fired stoves was amazing, delicious and plentiful. The home produced wine flowed freely and soon the whole dining room had a very convivial atmosphere! Towards the end of lunch two musicians gave us some Spanish favourites which tur...

We went for the first time taking two friends visiting from the UK with us. Not knowing what to expect we had a wonderful surprise. No electricity so candelabra on tables, comfy antique furniture, antique crockery and cutlery and the food was exceptional, 6 courses each one a delight, wonderful balance of ingredients. The wine from their own vineyard free with the meal, very palatable indeed. The entertainment was provided by a guitarist vocalist and of course the inimitable proprietor Carolina who put us all at our ease and made us Sing for our Supper. Long tables of diners from France, Germany, Russian and us four from Yorkshire each invited to belt out a national favourite. A standing ova...

Remote location in the mountain west of Jalon. Old winery wich have been restored and transformed into museum and restaurant. If the time is right you can participate in the process of producing wine. Very enthusiastic and heartly hostess. And good rustic food prepared on gas- and woodstove. No electricity, which we experienced when we arrived on our electric bikes and asked for a place to load our batteries. And after dinner it is compulsory to sing, no matter how. An experience you must not miss! Réservez une table maintenant

Wonderful location and the Flamenco singer/dancer was entertaining. However, I didn't appreciate the pushy owner trying to make us sing into her microphone. This is a good restaurant if you enjoy audience participation and lots of noise, but not recommended if you want to be left alone to eat your lunch. The food was very average for the price.

If you like a unique experience you have to go there. The food was good, with fresh, local produce. Staff was really friendly. We also got a tour in and around the museum. Beforehand I thought it was a bit expensive, but considering the fact that the wine is included, the 6 course meal and the time you spend in a nice environment, it is not.

OMG the food here is amazing. I think only open at weekends for lunch, the restaurant is in the old wine bodega, and you will get a guided tour of the museum thrown in. Food was really exceptional five courses including wine, and some lovely dishes including beautifully prepared salads, with fresh flowers. Can't wait to go back.

Loved it, it's like being invited to a fun party with strangers that soon become friends. Incredible experience. Glad we found the place. Plus the historical articles, amazing. John Michael Roch Réservez une table maintenant

Located in the mountains with fantastic artefacts collected by an antique dealer way back. Great staff, food, organic wine in an exeptional environment. A must for a memory for life
