I used to work right by Bo 'diddly 's, so I came here with a bunch of co-workers for a fun night of Name that Tune. This game is fairly simple. The DJ plays the beginning of a song, then you have to try to guess the name of the song. Anyone could play the game--it didn 't matter if it was only two of you or a group of twenty. Our group was considerably large and rowdy. What a few drinks do to middle-aged women--we had people dancing on the chairs and the table. At one point, I was asked to Name that Tune! I knew it was a Bon Jovi song, so I said Livin ' On a Prayer. Then the host said, You Give Love a Bad Name, that 's right!!! Huh? I 'm not sure if he heard me wrong or was just being nice....
This isn't the type of pub I'd wander into normally, but my partner has been there before and said it had a pretty good menu, although the clientele was a bit rowdy. It's located in a shopping plaza and, according to my squeeze, there are no other neighbourhood pubs around, so this one has gotten popular with the people who live nearby. There are TV screens around the bar, a pool table and a couple of games, including one of those punching bags that sound a bell when you hit it hard enough. We sat near the back because it was packed, and unfortunately had to listen to guys vying against one another for punching bag champion rights. But the cold beer and portion sizes of the appies were enoug...
Been to this Bo Diddlys a bunch of times and have never been impressed.The food while adequate is nothing to write home about.Not unusual in a sports bar type of place,but if you play the VLT's you can pretty much forget about service. As soon as you sit down at a game you are invisible.I can understand that service might be slow when a place is busy but when you have to practically hog tie a waitress on a slow sunday afternoon with five other people in the bar.Please somebody shoot me already.This might sound like sour grapes but I have experienced this on quite a few occasions and am now writing them off of my list if places to go.
Great food, prices and ambiance. The staff and management are friendly and hard working. However, the fact that the owners won t do anything about the cockroach and rodent problem is disgusting! Many attempts to get this fixed but are too cheap to fix the issue. Eat at your own risk!!!!!!! Nasty.
