My wife requested the soy garlic sauce and I wanted plain. The person who was serving us was a woman. We ordered half plain and half soy garlic and my wife wanted to purchase or have on the side, either the Yum sauce or some type of ranch. Downhill That's all I can really say. This has been my Bonchon since 2020, but it’s been a minute since I’ve tried.. just returned and here are the lowlights (takeout Katsu): They’ve done away with steamed veg with Katsu. Now we get this slightly sweet coleslaw. Yuck. Who is this for? Bring back the steamed veg. Next: they used to give you sauce on the side. Now they drizzle some on top of the katsu. You end up getting less sauce than before AND it makes the Katsu soggy. I’m sure their bottom line is better using less sauce and containers, but the product quality certainly suffers. Bring back the side sauce on takeout. This Katsu experience ranks very low for me. It’s a tough sell to return...
Random guy at this location refused to give me his name. I was very thirsty and requested for my drink to be given right away after placing an order of the Monday special 8 wings, fries and drink. Random guy sent a younger guy to get my drink but this younger guy was on his cellphone the whole time texting and took about 3 minutes to get my drink. I asked random guy to ask younger guy to tell him to get my drink because he was on his cellphone texting with empty cup on his hand. He said “ he’s getting it” I pointed out look he’s on his cell phone and this random guy did not like it but did go over to tell him to get my drink. First time leaving a review for a place, which shows how disappointed I am. The chicken was completely soggy, so much so that the box broke open from the bottom when we lifted it out of the bag. It was not crispy and practically cold to boot like eating day old chicken straight out of the microwave. I don't understand why I received soggy, cold chicken despite arriving early for my pickup order. I've had food here before and been pleased, but this experience truly soured me on this location. I'd rather find a new Korean chicken place than waste my money with another meal like that. If I'd been dining in and gotten this meal, I would've asked to have it remade because it was unacceptably bad.
