I just visited Bonchon with a large group of 10 people. Unfortunately, their biggest table only accommodates 8, so we had to squeeze in two extra seats at the ends. Four of us shared a small order of strips and a large combo, both in the soy garlic flavor. The strips were thin but quite good for white meat—tender and not overly dry. The drumsticks were generously sized, and the skin on everything was delicious. Of course, as time went on, the food lost some of its crunch and warmth, which is to be expected. What a hidden gem! It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t receive more attention. The restaurant always plays fantastic music, primarily hip-hop and R&B, featuring some rare tracks from artists like Frank and Kanye that you won’t find anywhere else. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food pop-ups are outstanding.
This is a fantastic bar with skilled bartenders who craft excellent cocktails and offer a wide selection of beers. The atmosphere is relaxed, and they have happy hour prices until 6 PM every day.
