Perhaps the decline in quality can be attributed to a staffing shortage, as there seemed to be only one server tending to several tables during our visit. Although the restaurant wasn’t busy—just five or six tables occupied—the lone server appeared overwhelmed. While other staff members delivered food, overall, it felt like the service was lacking, and I can't help but wonder if this contributed to the dip in the restaurant's standards.
When the food arrived, it was lackluster. My plate in particular looked hastily prepared, with mashed potatoes that were clearly scooped out with an ice cream scoop. I had ordered the special of the day, which was supposed to be topped with creamed spinach...
Did lunch at the Bonefish Grill in Bel Air. The fish tacos were good, as was the fish and chips. Good food, but not a lot of it. The tacos had lots of delicious sauce but came up short on the fish…not much there. The accompanying French fries were the same, good but not many of them. Then came the fish and chips. Plenty of fish that was cooked just right, but also short on the fries. Have you ever had iced tea that hardly had any color or taste to it? Yup, short on the tea bags! Maybe there’s new help in the kitchen. A so so lunch at a high price. Not a good experience. I’ve dined at The Bonefish before and loved it. Hopefully this was an anomaly.
Came in on August 10th 2022….. The service was great … Been to Bone Fish and grill 2x .. Once in Long Island NY and it was so so. This one in Bel Air was delish.. The Champagne was chilled to perfection .. I had the sirloin off the dinner for 2 and added a lobster tail. Steak was cooked to temp a nice medium. I can’t remember my servers name. She had a nose ring and I sat at the first booth to the right when coming in. Being a Chef, I’m not sure if a nose ring is good for food service .. All and all she did a great job accommodating us.
Dined alone for lunch today. Had the grilled Chilean sea bass w asparagus spinach in a white cream sauce as sides. The fish was cooked perfectly and the spinach was remarkably good. It was mid afternoon and while there were plenty of folks in the restaurant, it felt calm and un-rushed. I’ll admit that it was a little pricey for a Saturday lunch, but I don’t mind when the food is skillfully prepared with quality ingredients. (Sorry I took a bite before I thought to take a picture. It was delish.

I ordered the steak and crab cake. Unfortunately, the steak was tough, requiring significant effort to cut even with a steak knife. The crab cake was small and contained mostly filler, which was quite disappointing, especially since we've dined here twice before with better experiences. I hope these issues can be addressed positively in the future.
The Bonefish Signature Pasta had me takin a Covid test because it was flavorless, it tasted like pasta noodles that were water flavored. I had someone else taste it and they agreed. I have had good items off the menu previously but this pasta was a Big letdown. Hoping it was an off night and this isn’t being served on the daily.
We were seated right away and our server was very attentive. She made a couple of wine recommendations-which we took and enjoyed. We ordered a couple of appetizers and they were on point. Only negative was I ordered the shrimp skewers and scallops but the shrimp were very over done. Other than that everything was good!
We had a fantastic dining experience on Friday night, with delicious food and excellent service. The drink I ordered was truly delightful, and the video captures the beautiful smoke rising from the glass.

We loved the beef and ginger pot stickers. The pumpkin ravioli was delicious. We ended with the pumpkin lava cake which was a little dry but still tasty.
The food was really good, the brownies were delicious.
