I ordered the Fear and Loathing in Lox Vegas, a bagel with lox and capers, and settled down to find a new read. Large tables, a patio, and wraparound window seating provide a variety of options for people to read, plug in a computer, or visit with friends. It is a peaceful place to eat and read, as the dining room is in the center of a set of high bookshelves, which offer a smattering of used books across categories. When I ventured into the stacks, I found that each section was clearly labeled, and their fiction section was much larger than I expected from the store’s small size. I was only in town for the day, but I would recommend this bookstore to anyone looking for a book to read on the...

the book trader caffe is nice, cozy, and it has fed regale with so many books! there are many choices and a decent amount of inside and outside seats! the personal is polite, there are so many drinking possibilities, and everything else is what you would expect for a good caffe! this is a popular place, so that inside seats are limited at the weekends and there is in the rule a line due to popularity, so prepare themselves accordingly! Overall, if they are looking for a sweet cozy atmosphere, and a great place to have a chat or work to do, then they give this place a try!

This is my favorite coffee shop in New Haven or anywhere for that matter. There is a great atmosphere and you can always find a great book or cd/dvd. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. My favorite thing about the Book Trader however is the scones you can smell them baking when you walk in, they are huge and delicious. I’d much rather go to the Book Trader than one of the big name places. The staff is much more friendly and you feel more like you know everyone.

one of my favorite places in new harbour. partly coffee shop, partly used bookshop, part (man) woollen house. there is no room I like more than one that has windows for walls, so I could be part of this building. the personal is really nice, they have hundreds and hundreds of books about everything - I love to come in and search before I work. Eating is pretty good, good choice of options and can meet their nutritional needs. Réservez une table maintenant

I love browsing through the used books (mostly literary fiction and popular histories) with a cup of spiced chai latte. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are comfortable and well lit, if packed during the lunch rush. I'm less enthusiastic on the food front: the gluten free sandwiches are way too expensive given that they're made on udi's bread. For almost $10, I want something made in-house.

I took my Florida grandchildren there and was immediately told that children get a free book the first time that they visit the store so my grandchildren had a great time each picking out one to buy and one to get free! We are big believers in reading to children so they couldn't wait to get home with their books and get read to.

they only have a vegan option that is quite good, but I had better burger. there are also a few vegetarian sandwiches they can veganize by eating them without. the vegan chocolate cake was amazing. super creamy and rich. even the non-vegans enjoyed it. updated from the previous review on 2018-08-31

there is a wonderful relaxed and productive atmosphere here. my partner and I often come here to do work. the cold brew is great, and their sandwiches are also very tasty, my favorite being the jane rare. their books are cheap, and they will always find a jewel of a book here. beautiful location, amazing eating (I recommend the temposto extra vinaigrette for everyone) and I cannot say how wonderful the owner is. I've known them for years and they've been taking care of every aspect of their business. a true jewel in new haven
