We were all very happy with our meal selections. We began with deep-fried mushrooms, pepper jack cheese balls, cheddar balls, and my personal favorite, fried dill pickles! They also offer their own smoked pulled pork, which was delicious! The kids had chicken tenders and onion rings. Brooke enjoyed a ribeye and pepper sandwich, while Jonathan tackled an enormous cheeseburger topped with pulled pork and French fries smothered in cheese and gravy—quite the feast! The service was outstanding, and the food was fantastic!
Heard this place had good bar food. It was great as far as I'm concerned. Our staff was stallar and we never had to ask for anything. Our drinks were always filled. We tried their rib eye steak Philly sandwiches and they were so good. To be honest probably some of the best I've ever had. Their bar chips were crunchy and hot when served. For appetizers we had the steak fingers and cheese cubes... yummy. If you're in Ramsey, Illinois and get hungry, by all means eat here, you probably won't be disappointed!
I ordered tacos on Taco Tuesday, and unfortunately, what I received was disappointing. The taco consisted of cold hamburger meat wrapped in a cold folded flour tortilla, topped with wilted, rusty bagged lettuce and ranch dressing. That hardly qualifies as a taco. It was a truly terrible experience. The service was decent, so I’ll give it three stars—perhaps some people aren’t familiar with what a great taco should taste like. As for the atmosphere, there really isn’t any; it’s just a regular eatery.
I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews! Located just off Hwy 51, it's a hidden gem of a bar and grill. Our group of three all ordered prime rib, each cooked to a different temperature, and they were all prepared perfectly. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, even as the restaurant started to fill up. I'll definitely make the drive back again!

The restaurant is now called the Boondocks. Our server was excellent, and the food and drinks were great as well. Despite being very busy, the service was fast and friendly.
