Boqueria - Réserver une table

Came on a Sunday for an early dinner. It was a bit empty when we arrived but slowly filled up with different sized groups as our meal went on. Very nice warm ambiance with all bar height seating which was actually kind of nice. There were 3 of us and we were hungry after doing some shopping around the area. It’s tapas style which I think is slowly becoming new speak for “small but still expensive”, but I digress. We started with red sangria which was yummy in a fruit punch kind of way. The food was excellent, but the idea behind TAPAS in NOT to put everything on the table at the same time especially when the table is a tiny high top for two people. The wait staff recommends 2 to 3 items per person and then brings them all at the same time so things get cold, don't fit on the table, and make you feel rushed. It destroys the feeling you are supposed to get in a good Spanish restaurant. Next time, if there is a next time, I will know to order my items one at a time so that I can actually enjoy them.

We did the Boqueria Experience. It was so much food and so very delicious. The staff and manager were delightful, and seemed to share some of the load so everything kept coming out quickly as soon as ready. It was a wonderful date night, I'd recommend this place for either a romantic evening or a meal of sharing tapas with friends.

the staff was friendly, friendly and honest. really loved how the staff was knowledgeable, we advise ourselves too much ha ha ha ha ha ha that we sincerely appreciated!
