Here you sit on a terrace under a green sky of tree canopy leaves and look out towards the naked Pyrenees and a stream slowly running past. We just happened to drive by and were lucky enough to get a table. How happy we are about that. A attentive and friendly guy who also turned out to be the owner met us with warmth. The food was the best we had during our two week trip in northern Spain, Barcelona and Burgos included. They handle the local ingredients with respect and trust in their inherent quality. The lamb chops were of world class and the soup of home cooked broth is worth a trip of its own. 3 course dinner including wine, water and bread for 22 euros pp.
Bonito enclave y comida sencilla pero bien preparada, acorde con el sitio rural. Las migas nada pesadas, sencillas, al estilo pastoril, muy bien preparadas y de fácil digestión. Hay sitios donde les ponen encima huevos fritos, longaniza, chorizo ... ufff eso es para luego ir al monte a talar árboles. El ternasquete muy bueno. El postre tomamos queso del valle de al lado, Roncal. Vino, agua, pan (que no te cobran, no como algunos listos) Lo mejor, el trato, muy correcto. Nos encantó, lo recomendamos y volveremos .... lo que ocurre es que no se puede estar en todos lados
Had lunch here a couple of times now. Service is excellent and very friendly, great to eat outside in the summer. Food is very good, simple but really tasty good food. Well worth a visit at lunch time. Do not take too much notice of the translated English menu, the bread cooked in grease is excellent a local Spanish dish. We seem to have most of the courses on the menu and no disappointments so far.
After a good day hiking in the hills, having a blowout traditional Aragonese meal is just the ticket and friendly and informal Borda Chiquin does this really well. No need to hurry, the local families also take their time over the courses. Was particularly fond of migas (roast bread crumbs and vegetables etc), sound like not much but actually a very tasty starter.
La comida es casera tipo tradicional altoragonesa, además buena y las raciones cumplen con lo establecido, para rematar buenos postres. Buena relación calidad precio Disfrutamos de esta borda a escasos metros del río en medio de la naturaleza, hasta mi mascota dio el OK.
