we stayed in moama on a three-day jaunt in the Murray region for my wife birthday. we hadn't booked to dinner anywhere, and I wasn't confident because it was Mother's Day. but our booking was taken efficiently, we were welcomed by friendly staff. the great service delivered throughout the evening, the eating was prompt and of generous portions and excellent quality. I can always like to see into the kitchen, and the team could be seen as a well-oiled unit working. as an ex-publican I feel a feeling for a hotel as soon as I travel; this impressed as being led by a real profi.
Asked to be moved due to noisy table next to us.....that was OK but it went downhill from there. Food was average, Arancini balls cold, Steak gristle, Nasi Goreng swimming in oil, Risotto same....all in all so dissapointed. Asked the manager (after waiting 20 mins)...to clear the table...his abrasive nature lead to a heated argument. Employees on Covid duty at the door were rude so all in all, a big no from us (6)
Second time eating here in 6 weeks and second time disappointed with our meal. Shared a steak sandwich today 24), sour dough bread soggy, steak chewy, small bacon bits, Swiss cheese not melted and ordinary salad not to mention aoli way too garlicy. Chips were...the hero of the meal. Seriously it won't be lockdowns that impact your business, its your mediocre overpriced meals on offer.
The food at this restaurant was excellent. It was fresh, hot, and delicious. We didn't have a reservation, but we were still seated promptly and served with a friendly attitude. The staff was polite and attentive. We had a great experience after walking over from the Moama Bowling Club in Echuca. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We had a lovely lunch here with our infant son. We felt very welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to modify our order to suit food allergies and for once we did not feel like we were being a hassle....This kind of service makes the whole experience so enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
We had a fantastic family Christmas lunch party at this restaurant. The food impressed everyone, and the service by the staff was exceptional! We had some specific requests for our Christmas party, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Good service. Super busy Saturday lunch time, but prompt service our meals came out within minutes! Perhaps they were preprepared. Parmi was nice, nothing special steak sanga was quite nice too. Not many options in town, so would probably return if staying again.
the border house is a great place to visit, the staff is exceptional, the eating is to die and the beer is cold, nothing bad to say next year will be back on the day.

I recently dined at a restaurant in Moama, Echuca and it was the worst meal I have had in the past 18 months. I was extremely disappointed with the food.
