Guys, what happened to the service?I've been coming here for years, drinking my long black in a porcelain cup, watching the waves and the fantastic views at the beach across.A few weeks ago I get served the same coffee in a disposable cup, and when I repeated that I would have the coffee there, not to go, the staff had to apologize for the new policy the owners put in - ALL coffees are now served in disposable (NONE are bio-degradable, mind you) regardless.What a shame! The staff were so nice and seriously apologetic but they shouldn't have to on behalf of the owners new decision.Please rectify this, it's so bad for the environment and a shame, as this is such a nice local neighbourhood spot...
I would have given this place 6 stars if possible as the food and coffee Is second to none. The service is fantastic and I used to love going here 2-3 times a week and eating forFood and Coffee.There recent decision to serve the food and coffee in take away cups and plates only has lost me. Not only is it hard to eat their food in a cardboard box with plastic cutlery but we like to have our coffee in a real cup!Why did you do this?Save money on a dishwasher maybe?I would spend on average $50-$100 there with my family and friends.Money you've now lost and I'm pretty sure I wont be the only one.Also, it's a really careless bad environmental choice which I won't support!Let me know if this chan...
An occasional client, Borough can be relied on for good coffee and food. We were surprised to find that when seated at a table there now, that one is served coffee and food in takeaway containers. Water is however served in proper cups - go figure. The take away cup had to be doubled (?Eco?) to handle the hot water for my tea and the bacon and eggs I ordered were presented in a little brown box with an oversized sheet of grease proof paper....... not at all amenable to using as a plate. Whilst this may appeal to "Eco Hipsters", it was not the experience I was expecting and won't be going back or taking visitors there again.
Desperate for decent coffee at an indecent hour this little gem was right near the apartments where we stayed.The coffee is very good, as is the service as we were ordering for a big crew most times.They also offered good milkshakes, smoothie-style drinks and juices and catered well for kids.We didn't have any of the food but it looked delicious.We saw lots of locals getting their morning coffee there which we took as a good sign!It's casual and has limited seating but has a heart of gold!

the food and coffee good,but all is served on disposable plates,cups,cutlery even when eating in house,with staff standing around idly chatting with each other,when they could be washing crockery etc, the plastic lined bins were overflowing with disposable and food waste,so not recycled..For a health conscious cafe on a beautiful clean Australian beach,disappointing to see this cafe is not concerned about sustainable environments and our future..
in the rule my place at living in burleigh. today stopped and it seems that there are new owners. coffee wasn't good. tasted like overpriced dirty water. are not back, especially when there are so many caffes to choose from in the inner city of burleigh.
The bacon and egg wrap was sublime. Best I've tasted in a long time. Friendly and quick service as well. The coffee was perfect, and so was the hot chocolate. Would definitely return!
Been to this place a few times now and love the coffee. The service is great and the cakes / slices are good. The meals luck good too but haven't tried them yet.

This is one of the best spots for coffee at Burleigh. Small selection of food, but all that you need for a great start to the day.
