"Boss Dog offers excellent beers, and the highlight of my visit was definitely the food! It was flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the chicken pesto pizza. While the service was a bit slow, it was clear that the staff was doing their best."

Despite the deliciousness of the meals, I had to give this a 3-star review because of a thoughtless incident. There was a loud group of young men at the bar, and our table was directly across from them. I politely asked if we could be seated further away in a quieter part of the room. My husband and I are in our late 60s, so it felt like the staff member dismissed my request, slightly condescendingly saying, “It’s a bar, it’s going to be loud.” A more considerate response could have been, “It may still be loud, but give it a try.” This was the first time I felt unfairly judged for my age. So while I would have given just 1 star due to how I felt dismissed, I cannot overlook the consistently...
I was hopeful that this would become my new favorite spot! The beers were all excellent, and we had a great time creating a taster platter. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The space is large with plenty of seating, and it looks like they're planning to add a fantastic terrace. However, the waitress was quite negative. She frequently forgot our drink orders or didn’t stop by our table at all. She also didn’t check on us after we received our food, and some of us had to wait for refills. I hope these issues improve over time. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend going; it’s a wonderful addition to the Heights!
I was truly impressed by the food, beer, and atmosphere! The outstanding beer was to be expected, given that we were in the flag city, but I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. We enjoyed snacks of pine nuts, potatoes, and salmon. The restaurant was packed, and the servers were incredibly efficient! As a side note about the service, our server took our orders on an iPad. When we ordered the maple nuts, she input them into the iPad, and a staff member delivered them before she even finished taking the rest of our order. Talk about fast service!
Heard good things about this place so we tried it out tonight. The atmosphere was the best part about this restaurant. I had a smoked Gouda, Alfredo and bacon pizza. It was just ok. My husband had the schnitzel sandwich. They were out of the red cabbagethat goes on top...real bummer. He said the sandwich was very bland. As a matter of fact my pizza was bland and so were theloaded kettle chips we had as an appetizer. We definitely will not be back. Réservez une table maintenant
Coming from PA, we began traveling across the US in a motor home with 2 kids a dog- we found Boss Dog right off our travel path. The crew was super friendly welcoming. Great beer selection food options for the whole family. I’m sure in Clevelandit’s common, but we enjoyed the Major League referenced beer names. My personal preference- I did not enjoy the spicy beer.But the rest were decent.
Coming from PA, we started to travel a dog through the USA in an engine house with 2 children - we found Boss Dog right in front of our itinerary. The crew was super friendly. Large selection of beer for the whole family. I'm sure it's common in Cleveland, but we enjoyed the Major League reference beer name. My personal preference... I didn't taste the spicy beer. But the rest was decent.
The interior is beautiful. Though it's a sports bar, the regular table I placed by the window had the atmosphere of a café, allowing for a pleasant view of the TVs. The menu is excellent and offers a wide variety. Initially, I came for McDonald's fish sandwich, but what I found was a fantastic transformation. They really know how to brew drinks here!
The beers were excellent and full of flavor. Josh, the bartender, was very attentive and friendly, making sure I never had to wait for anything. The menu offered a nice variety of options.
