Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine Hawthorne

Bossa Nova charges for everything. You can't even get a refill on soda or lemonade without a fee. There's even a $3 charge to split the check.While the menu is pretty expansive, it's filled with stipulations in fine print on the back.When we checked in, the young lady at the front told us we could wait in our car for a seat. She definitely wasn't friendly or welcoming.Our food was average. The Sunny side up egg in my bowl was hard and my steak was overcooked, even though I asked for medium rare. My daughter wanted to build her own pizza, but at $16 and $2.50 per ingredient, we talked her into the mushroom truffle pizza instead. The pizza was good. I absolutely loved this place. Highly recommend for quality food and a great atmosphere and it remains open until late which is great especially when you want some quality food rather than junk late at night. Whether it be for a cafe and sweets. A mini bakery and store or the straight up restaurant and drinks this place delivers. The staff are very kind and the food really speaks for itself. I am absolutely coming back and getting the Bossa Nova Super Bowl with Chicken again and the mixed green salad. The Chicken Stroganoff was also very good. Visited this place on the recommendation of a local and this place was awesome! I had the fire Chicken with back beans, white rice, and maduros and wow! Excellent taste and flavor to the chicken! It had enough spice to be delicious and hot hot enough to where it messed up your meal. The service provided by Gilbert was amazing! He went over and above to make us feel welcomed and well taken care of. The ambiance is new hip, upscale but casual all rolled into one. If you are looking for a great meal with great taste and great customer service, this is the place for you!!

Pretty good food and service as well! Went for a bday celebration and sat on the patio which was nice! They have very good meat, the season is great, we also got a pizza and for a place that's not known for pizza it was delicious! I would highly recommend this spot!

I really liked this place. It had a modern comfortable ambience. Everything looked great. We saw the sirloin salad in the reviews and thats what we ordered. It was as good as we hoped for. Our server was excellent and friendly. I can't wait to visit again.Food: 5/5
