This restaurant was stylish and had a laid-back vibe. There were indoor and outdoor dining options available, and because it was a cold evening, we chose to sit inside. The space was small but cozy, making it ideal for a romantic date night for my husband and me. We were impressed with the appetizer menu, which offered a choice between a hummus plate and mushroom empanadas. We decided to try the empanadas and were delighted with our choice - we wished we had ordered more! For our main course, we ordered noodles with vegetables in a curry sauce. From the moment our server greeted us at the table, I knew we were in for a fantastic dining experience. I informed her that we had both vegan and pescatarian guests in our group. She consulted with the chef and returned with options from the menu that would cater to each dietary preference or could be customized accordingly. Upon our server's arrival at our table, it was clear that we were in for a great evening. I informed her that we had both vegan and pescatarian diners in our group. She promptly went to speak with the chef and returned with specific menu items that could accommodate any dietary restrictions. I will never return we were treated poorly. We had reservations and made to sit out doors in 98 degree weather . We asked to be seated indoors, there were many empty tables . Seated us outdoors anyway brought out our food as soon as we ordered . Still made us sit out doors. My steak was cold . Could not eat it. Ate the mushrooms, 5 minutes later threw them up either bad mushroom or overheated, heat stroke. Went indoors still empty tables noted. If you're in Belmont or live here, you have to check out this restaurant! The menu changes with the seasons, so my review is based on September 2023 and the small plates, main dishes, and desserts were all incredible. Our server, Barrick, provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and accommodating gluten-free options. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the cocktails were fantastic. I highly recommend visiting this spot - you won't be disappointed!
This place used to be my favorite when we moved to Belmont a few years ago. It definitely is not what it once was. The food is good, but not worth the money. They dont know how to cook a medium steak (should not be raw in the middle) and care just doesnt seem to be in the food. Went for brunch not long ago as well and I can just say, wont be doing that ever again. Take the time and travel a little farther into Charlotte to get more bang for your buck.
