If you have read any of my other reviews, you will know that I am a fan of good pies and good coffee! Whilst both are available at Bourke St Bakery (Marrickville), the main reason I come here is for the Lamb Harissa Sausage rolls (pictured). The almond gives them a delicious crunch whilst the sweet currents backup the sweet sticky pastry on the base 5* everyday!!! I have been to othe BSB locations and to be honest whilst the standard is generally pretty high, this is by far my preferred location.
My second visit to a Bourke Street Bakery and this time in Marrickville. Instead of takeaways, I tried the Pork Fennel Sausage Roll and Ginger Brûlée Tart there. I guessed there is a big difference in trying any food which is prepared-to-order (The Winery) and mass produced (Bourke Street). The sausage roll at Bourke Street Bakery tasted dry and hard because they were exposed for some time. The crust was not fluffy like the sausage roll I tried at the Winery.
After reading all the reviews and the convenience of being in the area, just had to stop in for brunch!
The homemade muesli with poached pears and yogurt was definitely a hit with me, there is nothing better than freshly toasted muesli! hubby had the brisket pie and ordered another so a win there! That ginger creme brûlée tart... OMG YUM!! and the coffee at bsb is off the chain ????????????
I went here on a Sunday Arvo whilst I was in the area and as soon as I turned the block I could smell the fresh aroma of BREAD! The cafe has outdoor and indoor seating and the outdoor seating is very pet friendly. This place also offers vegetarian options and the workers were very attentive, knowledgable and friendly! Would come love to come back here with my fur baby for brunch ☺️

Bourke street bakery never disappoints, with their excellent bread, coffees and delicious sausage rolls. A huge bonus is that it’s on quiet street and you’ll almost always find a spot to sit outside, highly recommended
Amazing. Ginger creme brulee tart. Crumbly perfect pastry. Great crack brulee on top and a silky smooth ginger custard inside! Would smash many of these /10 ????????
The best bakery ever so glad it's in Marrickville can't wait to be back here everything is so nice I can just wait here and buy all my bake good and coffee cya soon
If you are into food in any way, be it professionally or as a foodie, then before you die you absolutely must try the perfectly nailed Ginger Crème brûlée
