Boutique Rutihof

Make a point of having a meal there. This restaurant features outstanding local (Bündner a.k.a. Grisson) specialties as well as most typical Swiss favorites such as fondue. Their garlic cream soup is the best I 've had anywhere, and the veal schnitzels very tender. The owner is a hunter so the wildsaison is great try the venison. He also smokes the meats himself on the premises (just outside, have a look) and the salmon he catches in Alaska and Scandinavia. The village Litzirüti is a beautiful hamlet and it is one train stop below Arosa still, the Rütihof is easy to miss from the road, so keep your eyes peeled. Two warnings: 1) they no longer do lunches (bummer) and 2) on a Friday or Saturday night any night, for that matter you should reserve a table. Otherwise you 're likely to be turned away...

We were warmly welcomed, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The dinner was absolutely great in terms of taste, there are large portions, the ingredients are local and fresh. The breakfast is very rich with lots of fresh fruits, great. We were allowed to have breakfast half an hour earlier so that we were the first at the ski lift. I can absolutely recommend the Rütihof.

Made with local produce and original at the same time. What a find! Add a nice atmosphere and service. Our kids loved it. Great after sledging down from Arosa to Litzirüti.

Great experience! It was our first trip as a family of three and we couldn't be happier. The location, the friendly staff, the food and the drinks: fantastic!
