I had read some reviews mentioning that they offered gluten-free fish and chips, which is my favorite dish, but I couldn't find it on their website menu. So, I decided to call and confirm before going. I'm glad I made that call. The woman who answered confirmed that they do have gluten-free batter for the fish. I then asked if they had a dedicated fryer, and she went to check. Upon her return, she informed me that they cook everything in the same fryer as gluten items and assured me it would be fine since it was gluten-free batter. We made a great last-minute decision to have dinner at this restaurant, and fortunately, we got the table we wanted. The ambiance was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. For starters, we tried the Hot + Cool Cajun Tiger Prawns, which were delicious. For our main courses, we ordered Seafood Linguini and Pan-Seared Salmon, paired with a Cosmopolitan and a Blueberry Martini. Everything was incredibly tasty and quite filling, leaving us with no room for dessert. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is the limited menu options and the state of the washrooms, which could use some attention.
We went for dinner at this restaurant as we had heard good things about it. The restaurant is very clean and has a great decor. I tried the fish and chips (with salad) which had a light batter and tasted very good. My family tried other dishes ; tacos and braised beef which they both said tasted excellent. The service was fast and friendly. This place is a bit on the pricey side but it was worth spending the money.
Excellent service and food! Went there with my three boys under the age of 11 and they had a blast. The servers were super friendly and the food was amazing. The kids fish and chips were kind of disappointing but the salmon, jumbo prawns and the calamari were amazing. The decor was great and if I were living in this city I would be a regular seated at the bar full time for sure!
Stopped in for lunch with my husband after hearing great reviews. We shared the calamari to start, nice light batter exactly what we hoped for. I had the Cajun prawn tacos with fries, great flavours, crisp but airy fries. My husband had one piece halibut with fries. The piece of fish was pretty large. Prompt friendly service. We already are making plans to come back again soon!
The place is beautiful! The food tasted Good but it was cold and the potatoes were not crisp. The music doesn't match the ambience <14).. a little more attention to detail is needed, everything on the table must have a cover and be clean. Nothing that can't be improved. They have a very friendly and attentive team. I'll probably come back at another time.
Absolutely delightful! Our server, Jade, was incredibly friendly and attentive. She was genuine and quick with our drinks! The food was delicious—I especially loved the mussels and clams! My partner and sister ordered the tacos, and both were fantastic. I will definitely return; this was my first visit, and I loved every moment!
I've been craving fish and chips for about two weeks. After reading some reviews suggesting that the fish and chips weren't great, I was hesitant, but I completely disagree! They were not greasy at all. We also ordered mussels and oysters, and I highly recommend both the oysters and the fish and chips. They were fantastic!
We were hosting two VIP?s from Paris last week and wanted a unique dinner experience with local seafood. Bow and Stern over delivered. The front staff was very accommodating, attentive and kept the bottles of wine coming. The kitchen knocked dinner out of the park with their seafood platter, steak and braised beef.
