we weren't too busy at 11:30. the brussel sprouts were very good and beautiful honeysweet with a little flavor. the bostoner clam chowder was a hit with my friend. the seafood salad was good, I would have. stellar said if they gave you about 3 times the dressing they give you, and maybe a little more of the plastered fish that you could not really pick up the taste of the fish, are the crab because the crab was a very thin one and then maybe a bit shrunk, but you could not say it once. that is, the dressing was fabulous and give them a tonne greens, so that perhaps more dressing would require. the seafood linguine or fatuccine was very good. the fischburger a friend commented could have a li...
I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. Sadly although the food is very good, the service is slipping. Seems the staff enjoys loudly socializing near the bar. Which if you are seated near the bar is very disruptive and irritating. Not sure why the...manager isn’t controlling this. Recently I was seated out on the patio and was abandoned for 15 minutes despite a number of attempts to be served. Once served I was given a dismissive apology and slow service. If it wasn’t for the high quality of the meals I would take a break from my weekly visit
My family and I attended this restaurant for lunch. We had great service, very attentive. The menu was full of promise however lacked on delivery. I so badly wanted to like the food and don’t get me wrong it wasn’t terrible, it was lacking. The...flavours needed to be dialled up I would say they ranked about a 4/10. I’m not usually one for strong flavours but this was bland even for my taste. We are new to the area and this place is listed as a top restaurant, we may go back and chalk it up to a one off, bad day maybe. Time will tell.
Recently visited BC on a sisters trip. Our plan was to go to as many different restaurants as possible. We loved this restaurant so much we went back twice! Every day we had fish tacos from different restaurants and these ones were our favourite! Services...was amazing both times! The first night was super busy, we wanted to sit on the patio but it was full so we sat inside (which was totally fine). So the second time we made a reservation for the patio and it all worked out. Thank you for the great service and amazing food!!
My husband surprised me with a seafood dinner here and it was our first time. It will be the first of many times. Where do I start to say how amazing the evening and experience was!?! The service is wonderful. Upbeat and friendly staff. The...food in insanely amazing both visually and tasting! Fresh and beautifully displayed as well as lots to choose from with a meal for every price point. Thank you for a fabulous evening. You will continue to see us.
we always have great food and a great service at bow star. it is our destination for a beautiful evening with the family. we never hesitate to make plans here, and if there are any problems, they will always be solved immediately. the muddles are a...leader, like the fish chips. if they really want to splash, nothing beats the hot seafood tower (it is available at the market price) worth it for a special occasion like a jubilee.
that was our first time on the arc and star and we will be safe again. the manager/server ness gave us a great service and was so entertaining. the Prawn cocktail was excellent as the halibut and chips that my man had and. I had the seafood linguine that was excellent. the restaurant was very busy and a bit loud, but we enjoyed it. we're coming back.
