My friend sent me on a food and drink trip a couple of days ago. This was one of my stops, so close to my home. I was a bit sad at first because this used to be Mimi's Café. It's been tough to drive by here almost every day and see something different than Mimi's. Well, I finally stopped by and went inside, which was also tough. But thanks to my special friend's generosity, I now like this new Brandon's Diner! The outside still looks like the old Mimi's, but with a new Brandon's sign. The inside, much different and actually a bit livelier. It was sad to see the front door window boarded up. This restaurant is part of a chain and has a consistent stream of customers, but we didn't have to wait for a table. I've heard they're famous for their burgers, though it seems like every place in Southern California boasts about their burgers! Regardless, I was in the mood for pancakes, so I ordered them with bananas and pecans. The menu offers plenty of options. Our server was fantastic, and our food arrived quickly. The pancakes were enormous and delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals too—one of them had the burger I mentioned. The total bill for the three of us was around $60, which seems typical for a diner. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, so parking is plentiful.

I recently had lunch at this restaurant twice, and I was definitely impressed. On my first visit, I tried the breakfast burger, and it was absolutely delicious. The second time, I ordered the Turkey Reuben sandwich special around Thanksgiving, and it was fantastic. I can't wait to have it again next year. I will definitely return to try more items on the menu!

I got the chicken strips and fries, with a side of food poisoning. Possibly the ranch since my son started feeling sick after the buffalo fries with ranch and blue cheese. My other kid hated the chilli cheese fries, it tasted like tomato sauce. My parents had the turkey dinner, they liked it fine. I definitely won't be coming back.
Very generous serving size food was really good with the exception of the home fries being slightly burnt. Bacon and eggs were perfection and my husband loved the menudo! Big bowl with lots of meat! Service was so friendly!
There was an excessive amount of food, but no homemade chili. Fortunately, I brought my own red chili. Overall, it was an average dining experience—nothing particularly special.
Decent food and my 92 year old Father in law knows the waitress! That made it worth it!
