After deciding against two fine dining restaurants in Margaux (we were looking for a light lunch, not an afternoon of eating, which is what fine dining restaurants expect from you), we asked a local about a place to eat. He referred us to this place, it's overseeing a golf course, complete with a nice fountain. The weather was good and we sat outside, enjoying a rare day of sunshine after so much rain. Smoked salmon with some onions and pickled carrots cost a modest €9, a large salad with jumbo shrimp and thai dressing was €22, cafe delicious, glass of Champagne €12. Food was good, but the service was distracted and slow. Pay the cashier as you go out.
