I visited the place with two colleagues and we were treated very badly. First we were asked to wait at the bar until the person arrives (that’s ok but we were starving) and when we asked later if we can sit down got lost a bit) the waiter questioned where my other colleague is. I said he is min away (and he was) to which I got a reply ‘that is always what they tell me’. We got sat at the smallest table of course since we didn’t seem reliable. Needless to say it was too small for people. It is indeed a busy place at most days and privacy on such occasions is not an option. I do find it a bit to close seating at times and would recommend to allow customers more comfort at least for their own table discussions. We've always been to Hülsmann. The quality of the kitchen and service are always excellent. Yesterday we celebrated the baptism of our daughter with a lunch there with 19 people. Each three courses was a tasteful masterpiece in preparation (Vogerlsalat, Kalbstafelspitz and Creme Brülee). The dishes were both colorful and decorative an absolute eyewitness. So often the beautiful brasserie was occupied until the last table and there was a strong conversation at everyone. In the midst of this lively atmosphere we enjoyed a delicious dinner. We celebrate a feast with the thought of the next Steak American.
This summer back in Dusseldorf again, we had to go to Huelsmann after a great experience about month before. Well it was worthwhile to do so. Joined by the same friends, we all agreed, the food lived up to our high expectations and if...you like to eat as you can only in a very good brasserie in France, try this one, if you're in Dusseldorf. And if you like to add a German element order an Alt Beer.

We've been through our Christmas party yesterday, yes, because it was an experience! The dishes just super delicious. Thanks to the whole cooking team! And very special thanks to the lady who took care of us all night! She has rounded off everything with her cordiality! We can only do this through a repetition! Thanks Brasserie Hülsmann!
We were not treated the best. To begin with, expensive restaurants like this should let the customers know that they don’t take Credit Card when you come in I ordered Duck confit and was not available. The server came back with a similar option bu...at the end was much more expensive... Not my first choice in Dusseldorf
As always delicious! From me, little complaint about the bowls! Fixed immediately. Great service, good food and not difficult. A successful birthday of my wife and those who join.
Nice place for dinner with friends or family. The meal is just delicious. Very loud though. And they don’t take any reservation. Nevertheless it’s a place to visit.

it seems , that the owner is not interested in having good service ... though food tastes good... it is hard to enjoy it in a bad atmopsphere
