After visiting Harder Kulm we went back to our hotel. The reception suggested dinner at Brauistübli restaurant, a local restaurant just a 3-minute walk away. The restaurant was really simple, similar to a kind of Swiss hut. The decoration was funny, lots of wood everywhere, witch figures and some Easter bunnies on the tables. That was probably since Easter just died. Overall, it was exactly what we wanted. An authentic and local Swiss restaurant for a delicious cheese fondue outside the tourist crowd. This small restaurant is a horror!!They are extremely racist and rude.. I walked with my two daughters 5 and 11 years old thinking they would experience some nice ambience and fondu. We reached the restaurant and waited 20 mins to be seated. There were two elderly waitress who didn’t speak English at all and they were yelling at us. As though it’s a crime if you don’t speak Swiss German. I showed her picture of what we want to order. They wanted to serve 4 fondue and one fondue serves 2 people (as per the menu). So I said we will just take 2 fondues. But they insisted I order 4. Not sure why they wanted me to order 4 large fondue (500 Swiss francs). My kids got very scared of their yelling a...
A great place! Also they are very rude and racist, we thought it is a cute Swiss place to eat, but they make you so uncomfortable that you only regret when you are Swiss, you will not be me guessing. In the end, they also tried to deceive us with the bill, said we can pay in euros, but charged us 20€! and said this is the exchange rate that was not true. One of the worst and most unpleasant restaurant experience I had, very sad I left my money in this place..
Great food, terrible service. All during the meal was very nice, but it took 15 minutes after the review until they brought it, then another 5 minutes to get the change. There were only 6 more tables in the restaurant on a slow Tuesday afternoon. They also do not take credit cards, but do not show that before time.
