I had put Breizh Cafe on our list of places to try for our trip to Montreal because I had heard some great things about it. Montreal is a total foodie city- there are a vast selection of options, so we had selected where we wanted to go carefully. Breizh did not live up to the hype for us. The service was SLOW (there were not many other patrons at the time we were there, and it still took a very, very long time for us to even get our drinks, let alone everything else), the crepes were underwhelming (very disappointing!) and I have doubt about the cleanliness - I watched as the cook coughed and then continued to cook without washing his hands, and I also saw cross-contamination (having worked...
The waiter was rude and unhelpful when we came into the cafe. The restaurant wasn't full and we were told they could not seat a party of 3 - we asked if we could get one crepe take away and he bluntly replied "No, too busy, seated customers get priority" - which is fair enough. We then asked if we could wait for a table instead but had to prompt him as to how long the wait would be (he kept trying to walk away from us), and he reluctantly said "at least 40 minutes", he gave us a strong impression that we were unwelcome and wasting his time. We won't be returning here nor recommending it.
A great spot for lunch before tackling Mont Royale. Friendly, helpful service, excellent food quality and local boutique beers to accompany it. Although we didn;t have it ourselves, the french onion soup looked like a warming and hearty choice for a cold Montreal day.
Discovered this little place close to home. Had the lunch special: soup of the day (carrot and ginger), veggie crepe and tea. Excellent soup, great crepe texture (crispy) and good selection of teas. Very nice service. Nice atmosphere. Free wifi. We will be back.

Came back for our second visit to Montreal. We came on sunday at lunch and had the fixed proce soup, crepe dessert meal. Everything was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back next time.
The food is good, but it's a bit expensive for crepes. Last time I went on Sunday for brunch, there was quite a lot of people, so service was rather slow. I waited 20 min to get my coffee.
The food was great and reasonably priced, but we waited 30 minutes for a table. If given the chance, I probably wouldn't wait that long again.
I've only had crepes probably less than a handful number of timesThey're often soggy and dense where I'm from in the U.S.

A cousin to the creperie of the same name in Paris, the gallettes were delicious and the service friendly.
Came here with a group of 10 with reservation and they were very accommodating.
