What a great find. I came across this little gem by chance when out for an exploration of Bradford-on-Avon one breezy afternoon and it was the perfect cosy place to warm up and over look the river. I walked in after being drawn in by the wonky façade and seeing the plaque that tells you about how old the place is. When I then discovered it was a tea room I had to go in. Upon entering the tiny door which I had to crouch and turn sideways to get through I was amazed by the interior and greeted by some very friendly staff in traditional Victorian maids attire that asked me about any reservations. My first visit to this venue was in the late 1980 's, when we had a lovely meal. Now some 35 years later (under different owners? serving teas and cakes and a smattering of savourys. The atmosphere is still there, and the menu offers some tasty treats, but it seems like this establishment trades on is architectural attractiveness which can be a magnet for tourists... No problem with that exploit a market if it exists but for more local people, its prices are a little on the high side. Still worth a visit though.

I was quite disappointed with my experience. I ordered two lattes and a honeycomb milkshake. Unfortunately, the lattes were served ice cold, although the honeycomb milkshake was decent. The staff had a bit of an attitude and didn't seem to enjoy their jobs. On a positive note, the building itself was beautiful, especially considering it has been standing for hundreds of years. I also found the drinks to be somewhat overpriced. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning. The service was dine-in.

Went for breakfast. Beautifully decorated victorian tea room with excellent staff. Full English was great with quality and interesting ingredients perfectly cooked. Book ahead! Parking: Difficult.
