I was in the mood for fresh halibut today, so I made my way to Tiverton. Although I was a bit disappointed to find out they were out of halibut, I was pleased to learn that more would be available tomorrow. A friendly gentleman, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, asked how I intended to prepare the fish. Based on that, he suggested swordfish steaks and recommended using foil on the grill to keep the juices in. We ended up grilling the swordfish with mango salsa, and it was absolutely delicious—the fish practically melted in my mouth. The dishes you crave are either incredibly fresh and delicious, or they're out of stock—there's no middle ground. The market is clean, the staff is friendly, and they don't pressure you at all. They offer unique items like smoked salmon and smoked bluefish pâtés, which are quite delightful. The swordfish we had was remarkably tender, almost like butter.

Best fresh seafood around , prices may be a little more , but not extraordinary for fresh off the boat seafood , been going there for over 40 years have never gotten anything that was off in anyway , something I can't say about any other fish market
