The Brighella seems to be well-known and popular. It is far from the center and in a good neighbourhood, and most of the clients seemed to be regulars. That in itself is a good sign: return customers keep a restaurant from cutting corners.For lunch I chose from the day's menu. The soup arrived soon, and was very good. The main took a while to come, but if I'd not been alone I would not have noticed the gap. It is not a place where you would want to hurry the meal. Dinner was served on the terrace on a warm evening that developed into a memorable experience. The service was attentive without being in any way intrusive with fine attention to every little detail. And the food demonstrated the chef's skill and passion for his craft - simple ingredients, combined with experience and care to produce a dining experience that comes close to perfection.The icing on the cake was when we came to leave when my companion was presented with a complimentary bottle of the excellent 'house' wine as a gift for her son if a forthcoming work interview was successful. (At the time of writing, the interview has yet to take place ...)You may guess that I enjoyed it!

This is - maybe - our favorite place in town. Have been going there for ~15years and never had a bad meal. It's straightforward AND refined, very authentic Italian cuisine. You cal always taste the ingredients, and the quality is outstanding. The audience is mostly local, loyal connoisseurs.Btw, while the wine list is mighty, you can also just ask and you will be served extremely nice Barbera or the like.. Leo & Mario are always fair and very nice.Conclusion: I don't understand why this place isn't much higher up in the rankings!

I know this restaurant since 1998, am Italian myself and used to live in Frankfurt. Today, I took the opportunity after many years of living in New York, to come back and look for the same authenticity this retreat of Italian cuisine had 17 years ago. It is still hands down the best Italian dining experience in Frankfurt. It is as if you were dropping into a restaurant along the Italian adriatic coast. It was recommended to us by friends who live in the area. Have been there twice recently. We where impressed by the very friendly service, great food and perfect wine recommendations. Went with colleagues recently and we had a very good offer for a dinner menue.

The Brighella serves authentic high class Italian food, has a real Italian patron that cares about his guests and is a lovable place all together. In November the Brighella hosts the famous white truffle days with prix fix menus around the famous Alba mushroom.

I had my first meal at Brighella about 20 years ago and still love the place. I visit Frankfurt once a year and the restaurant is a must visit. The place is small, has a beautiful ambience and Mario is fantastic. The food is excellent and extremely well priced.

Returned again to Brighella for a Sunday Lunch. The weather was good and we sat outside in the small garden. I ordered Pasta as an appetzer and the "Seezunge" as my main meal. Both were extremely tasty. The service is friendly and makes you feel at home. Réservez une table maintenant

Especially during the season of the white Alba truffel, this restaurant with its complex menus is worth every Euro you spend here. The patron is in every night, a the service impeccable and the foods exquisit.
