Good food and drink. Walked here from just beyond masons arms. Masons used to be superior to Brown Horse for food, however this has now changed. If you want good food/atmosphere and excellent service, come here. If you want amazing views and a great drink, go to Masons Arms. Service: 5 Location: 5
Absolutely fantastic food, very high quality stuff. Didn't look like massive portions, but I still left stuffed, so go figure. Great ales on tap too. I will be returning. Didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms. Food drinks: Excellent all round. Service: 5 Location: 5
Pros: good quality of the classic main courses with meat (pheasant, vennison), beers, traditional and charming decoration, waitresses' service. Cons: disappointing quality of the beefburger (notably the meat which was dry), waiter's service, poor attention to children.
