Brownstones is extremely loud to the point of almost not being able to communicate with others in our party. Then the check comes (two checks, one for cash and the other for credit card). After looking at the check we were charged .60 per person for half and half with our coffee! Also you have to carefully interpret the fine print on the menu since a custom omelet with choice of three items but you will be charged 3.00 extra dollars per meat if you choose for more then one meat. Don't expect to get toast with your omelet, that's extra too!With so many options for food Brownstones is no longer a breakfast option for us given the noise, added fees and hidden charges. This place is absolute trash. Sat and waited 15 min to be acknowledged, received our order of food without drinks, utensils or syrup for pancakes? Who in their right mind serves food before drinks? We literally left our food at the table and walked away from this dumpster fire. Complained to hostess upon walking out (Manager was nowhere to be found) and she stated that there was a lack of servers due to closing? Needless to say this was the worst service we have ever experienced. I don't understand how you can treat customers like this in our current environment, luckily reviews are a powerful tool to use against these types of establishments. Terrible experience. The service was poor from beginning to end. The food was just okay. We paid for a meal for three, and right after finishing, we were repeatedly asked to leave our table. When we refused since we had paid, we were met with eye rolls, heavy sighs, and attempts to guilt-trip us. I would understand if we had been there for a long time, but we hadn’t even spent more than 35-40 minutes. We still had coffee to finish and were waiting for an Uber. This behavior was very unprofessional and rude. Having worked as a server, I know the importance of managing table time, but if guests haven’t been there for an hour and are still consuming what they paid for, they should be left alone...
My wife and I went for breakfast, we were greeted at the door by the hostess and were seated right away. There were more people in the restaurant than I expected on a Tuesday morning. I had scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon on a croissant with breakfastpotatoes. I asked for the potatoes to be extra crispy and they came out perfect. My wife had an omelet with breakfast potatoesand a piece of multigrain toast, she was very happy with her meal. You had small juices and coffee with our meal. The coffee wasvery flavorful. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast very much. Our waitress Victoria was very pleasant, polite and had a greatsmile. She made our experience enjoyable.

This is my second brownstones location? and it?s still a stellar brunch!!! the waffles are my favorite food here and their beverages are so unique and always delicious!! They are one of the best breakfast places I?ve ever been to, because every thingthat they make is exceptional and high quality with yummy food and drink options?it is a very busy place, so if you don?t getput on the waitlist and it?s brunch time expect to wait.. or go on the less busy times of day! Their atmosphere is open andsteampunk fun with nifty hats and things for decor.
Brownstones is always a great local place to visit for breakfast or brunch with friends and family. The French toast bites are my personal favorite but can be a bit too sweet depending on your liking. The avocado eggs Benedict BLT is a delicious savorydish that is another favorite. The wait can be a bit long on the weekends so be sure to visit early to avoid the crowd, or putyour name on the waitlist through Yelp.
The waiter Anthony was extremely rude and unprofessional . I had to ask for a manager because I was so unhappy with his service apon arrival. We got a new waiter and she was very kind and very professional. I'm giving it a 1 star only because of our experience with the male waiter who made us feel extremely disrespect with his additude.Worst customer service from him I've ever experienced.
Bug salad. Photo attached, see for yourself. Been here 4-5 different times, most recent time with the insect filled salad was the last straw. Every time we ate here in the past, the wait staff has been very incompetent. If you want extra insect proteinin your salad, go ahead.

Visited Brownstones Coffee many times with great food and service. Visited for lunch the first time today. What a disappointment. The food was not as good as their breakfast food and the service was not only slow but the waiter forgot we existed at all. Very disappointed!
Had Sunday Brunch and was able to just beat the rush. Enjoyed the holiday special drinks. Food and drinks were delish
