I had the worst dining experience at this pub. The pie was advertised as homemade, but it was clearly not. They didn’t have any steak available on a Saturday night, which was surprising. To make matters worse, they don’t serve any hot drinks—not even a cup of tea. My burger was terrible; it was so greasy that it left me with a stomachache. My partner also had a disappointing experience; the beer he tried tasted like it had been watered down. He sampled two different brands, and both were lacking in flavor. If I could rate this place zero stars, I absolutely would.
Great little pub. The welcome from the staff is as warm as the open fire. Great selection of beers. Food is served daily, (lunch and evening) and it is pretty good, and reasonably priced. I got the ham and cheese baguette, which is served with chips and salad. Hit the spot perfectly. Beer garden at the rear, and tables at the front. Dog friendly. Highly recommended. Stopped off after a walk around the village for a coffee. Very pleasant sat in the square watching the world go by.
Really cozy and friendly country pub, food gorgeous, a lovely place to visit would highly recommend.
