You must make a place in your itinerary to buy, and eat cake at least once we wish we'd had more days we could have bought cakes on. You must also leave enough room in your baggage allowance for lots of chocolate, because you won't be able to decide on just one thing. We visited this place as part of the Cocoa Grapes tour (which I've reviewed separately) so also had the benefit of a chocolate tasting beforehand but you really don't need that. You just have to look through the window and you just know whatever you get it will be divine. We had a couple of Rhum Babas one day the cream was so light it vaporised in the mouth and they were soaked with rum but without making the cake soggy. We bought chocolate for everyone, including ourselves. For something a bit different get some of the Blonde chocolate it's naturally caramelised and so delicious. You really can't do the patisserie/chocolate justice in words you have to TASTE. One added bonus is that you 10% reduction if you are on the Cocoa Grapes tour we went back the next day when we had time to think about what we wanted.

This is really a shop selling all manner of beautiful confectionery patisserie and chocolates rather than a delicatessen. All the offerings are miniature works of art befitting the work of an artisan . As soon as you enter the shop your senses are assailed by the aromas of all things yummy. Friendly greetings followed by offers to try everything. Tough as it was I resisted! Bought lots of macaroons, cakes and mousses and was given strict french instructions I had to consume them that day (I think . No fear of that! Everything gobbled up within a few minutes of arriving back to our room! So I reckon anyone with a sweet tooth should give this shop a try

They sell gf macarons in store but you can also order a gluten free creation for the next day. When I visited they offered only one option for order it had a cake base with layers of strawberry mousse, coulis and a nutty nougatine. Can be ordered as an individual piece or a bigger cake for 4. V nice!

Bimas provide a fantastic range of great patisserie and chocolate. Their opening hours are useful since they close at 19.30 giving plenty time to pick up some good. They also have 'sans gluten ' patisserie which is helpful.
