"Food's not bad, but overpriced but for a dog café they really ought to hire staff who are actually dog people. Not very friendly (possibly cos I wasn't dressed as fancy as the guy who was being bent over backwards for)."

I had just completed a lovely walk and was looking forward to a coffee and scone before heading shopping then home. It had been a while since I had been in this cafe and I was passing so! there I was! Coffee came fairly quickly but my scone reminded me of my own disastrous cooking skills! It was burnt! It looked more like a rock bun! I asked if I could have one which wasnt burnt and was told they are all the same! I refused any type of scone! I would never put that down to someone! On commenting when I paid I was told once you get past the crust it is lovely inside!! I also observed a server advising people certain items were not available and also someone left practically their whole salad...

Despite the restaurant not being busy, we waited about 15 minutes for the menu to be brought to our table. Our order arrived quickly and the baked potato and salad were tasty, although a bit lacking in prawns. Unfortunately, the waitress did not return to clear our table or ask if we needed anything else. We had mentioned we would like to order coffee after our meal. When we went to pay, all four staff members were chatting amongst themselves and we were left standing at the counter. It's a shame about the lack of engagement from the staff because it is actually a nice place for lunch.

This was a second visit for us after a great experience about2 years ago. Could not have been any different. Waiting over 90 mins for food was not great so when I asked at the desk I was abruptly told they were busy despite having space at tables and less than 30 covers. As I was waiting at the counter to speak to someone I saw staff wiping their noses and wallets then touching plates and napkins. I was told our order was next but they had clearly not started it so opted to leave rather than eat late and unhygienic food. Will not visit again.

We waited an hour for our food which was quite honestly the worst lunch I’ve ever paid for. Wrap had 2 tiny bits of chicken (looked like half a chicken nugget in each wrap) and a bit of sauce in each with no salad chips rock solid. Sandwich was dry and soup tasteless. Could have made better myself and would have been much quicker! Cobwebs on the teddy bears hanging from the ceiling and didn’t feel overly clean in other areas either. The young waitresses were very friendly but a shame about everything else! Will not be returning. Réservez une table maintenant

I brought my family to this restaurant on a very cold day in January this year. I had been a few times the year before and had enjoyed it, but unfortunately there was no heating and the place was freezing. No apologies were offered. The server was very rude. The food was just okay. However, we left smelling like we had been in a greasy spoon cafe and had to wash all of our clothes when we returned home. I definitely will not be returning, which is a shame because it's a nice location. I will not be recommending it anytime soon.

On a cold and windy day, we went to Bullands for lunch only to find that there was no heating. I had to keep my coat on my lap to stay warm. When we asked about the heating, the server said it wasn't working and did not apologize. There was only one server and one person in the kitchen, with another server arriving an hour later. Despite the poor service and a strong cooking smell in the restaurant, the food was good and hot. It was disappointing as Bullands has the potential to be a great restaurant.

Friendly place to stop and get tea and a snack . Dog friendly, and 5 month old pup was quite happy there resting , and they serve the dogs sausage in a bowl . Best Empire Biscuits I've had in years , and bought more to take home . Réservez une table maintenant

Really friendly staff and fun interior design with the teddy bears in the ceiling. Too much dogs for my taste and the vegetarian options weren't exactly many, but we got food! And the size of the teapot for one was on spot!!
